The Role

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to produce scalable software solutions. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. As a Full Stack Developer, you should be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks, and third-party libraries. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility. If you’re also familiar with Agile methodologies, we’d like to meet you.

Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time. Applicants must live in the DFW, Texas metroplex.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain high-quality SaaS applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, and PHP.
  • Work with Node.js, MeteorJS, and the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) frameworks to enhance and maintain a stable and scalable SaaS product for the childcare industry.
  • Understand and implement NoSQL queries, aggregation pipelines, and general MongoDB concepts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Scrum/Agile methodologies to deliver high-quality software.
  • Write and maintain unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews, contribute to team knowledge sharing, and mentor junior developers as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 3+ years of experience in software development with JavaScript or TypeScript and PHP.
  • Strong proficiency with Node.js.
  • Experience with MongoDB, including writing performant database queries and aggregation pipelines.
  • SQL experience.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Proven experience in writing and maintaining unit tests.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Ideal:

  • Experience with MeteorJS framework.
  • Experience with VueJS and GraphQL.
  • Experience with serverless computing and AWS.
  • Knowledge of PHP and Symfony framework.
  • Familiarity with MySQL or other relational databases.
  • Experience working in a SaaS product environment.
  • Experience working in ed-tech or the childcare software industry.
  • Data modeling and design experience.
