Primary Purpose and Functions:

LineLeader seeks a Quality Assurance Specialist to test new development to identify and prevent bugs from making it into production. The ideal candidate must be a good team player, willing to learn, a great attention to detail, and tenacious in thinking through how to break software.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly checking all new development for regression and fulfillment of acceptance criteria.
  • Work with the developers to derive testing requirements throughout the development cycle.
  • Reproduce, debug, isolate and report problems with detailed steps. Verify fixes for reported issues.
  • Find innovative solutions to common issues.
  • Monitoring of key system components like APIs and Integrations.
  • Pre- and post-release functional, regression and Mobile App testing.
  • Communicating professionally and collaborating with developers to identify and solve problems.
  • Logging new bugs found with enough detail to reproduce and fix them.
  • Contributing to all team meetings.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Individuals who value teamwork and need minimal direction, are customer-centric, and understand and get excited about doing what it takes to succeed at a fast-paced software company.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in software testing.
  • Able to review quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Experience with manual and automated software testing.
  • Experience with end-to-end testing, including data integrity, browser compatibility, interface testing, API testing, etc.
  • Experience working on an Agile development team.
  • Superb attention to detail.
  • Previous experience with testing applications which have financial components like payment processing.
  • Experience with automation testing and associated tools is a major plus.
